I saw these at the store earlier, and yes, I still crave these (left pic - you remember pinguinos marinela right?), but gladly I just kept doing my thing (small victory, whoop). The girls were with me and honestly, I didn’t want them to eat that stuff which is often times a bigger reason for me not to reach for unhealthy non-food items ;). When they asked me for an afternoon snack, those cupcakes were still on my mind (I know), so I opted for this option instead (right pic). Can you believe the cupcakes on the left have sugar, high fructose corn syrup, shortening, and hydrogenated oils as the top ingredients, not to mention each cupcake has 30g of sugar, and only 3g of protein.
On the other hand, my little homemade cupcakes had as the top ingredients pea, oat and rice protein, chia, flax and quinoa seeds (other ingredients include kale, and spinach ;), and just 8g of sugar and 16g of protein. I threw in a little organic peanut butter in the middle, some organic Annie’s yogurt on the top, made it in 2 minutes tops, and it was completely gone in less than that lol.
I might start making these healthy cakes for a living 🤔🍰. Would anyone want one 😄? Now to pick a food truck 😳🚚.
