When my good bud @nickpew called and asked for help, no doubt he had no idea really what was coming other than 7 ft of snow in the yard. I rounded up my boys, who did not WANT to go, but because their mother taught them, they obeyed. We rode to Wieser, not the group, and beheld. Oh wow. Teaching and lifestyle living come at different moments, this became one. The boys caught a spirit of get it done service and we laid into the snow. 3 ft deep on the flat. I started on the roof, of a dubious at best tin roof ( not it was not busted, insert pop 90's song) but was up there for 2 and half hours. Standing on a 2/2 inch steel beam to not fall through the tin. Cleared the roof with the help of nick when he got done on the ground. That roof was 30-36 inches deep of snow in some places. Upon completion grandpa Howard hooked up the boys with burgers and the Pep/dew. The drive home was quiet as lil man slept off his finger steaks. I shared some of my health story and overcoming ITP. It was a project we as father and sons will never forget. Those grandparents were so cute and full of gratitude. Made me miss mine. Somethin fierce. Here's to helping others because it really helps us feel better. Sound TRUTH if you feel off a bit, then help someone else. Number three said updating n my expressing gratitude for his help no problem, it was actually a good time and the food was great.
