862. "Vulnerability is what really connects people." As Alexa Ahrem and I chatted, she thought about this post, "if you write one thing, make it that it's ok to feel like shit sometimes." After college, Alexa started her own business throwing parties and promotions for electronic music, partnering with events like @electriczoony. But due to the pressure of making it on her own and not having a 9-5, she built up a lot of anxiety, which eventually led to clinical depression. She reflected back on that time though with an appreciation for how it's built her character and made her grateful for now being on the other side. Since then, Alexa has started a zoning company, @philadelphiazoning, alongside rebranding her old company to @subsurface_pres. An entrepreneur since the age of 13, she explained, "Success to me is progress." - something it sounds like she's currently making in all areas of life! Awesome hanging with you, @lokolex! #10kfriends #philly #vulnerability #depression #edm #techno #zoning #music #progress #meetingpeople
