Our Nursery Manager Chrissy is potting up a storm today. These houhere (lacebark) are invaluable in our streamside restoration projects. They grow masses of roots that latch on to soil, filter water and prevent erosion. They also provide a sheltered habitat for our native birds, critters and fish.
We've got thousands more baby plants to pot up before autumn. If you can lend a hand on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays 10am-12pm, we'd be keen to hear from you!.
