Charles Vinci (-56 KG, USA) displays his gold medal from the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. One of the United State's most successful lifters, Vinci took bantamweight gold in 1956 and 1960. Also a two time Pan-American games champion (1955, 1959), an injury prevented him from competing at the 1964 Olympic games. During his career he set 12 world records.
To date, Vinci is the last American male Weightlifter to stand atop the Olympic podium.
