I may be a planner, but I really value spontaneity, and the excitement that comes with switching things up and doing something DIFFERENT.
I have committed to one program after another for awhile now.
There's so much science and wisdom in how these programs are put together- it's been GREAT knowing I'm working with the best-of-the-best world class fitness trainers.
BUT - I've decided- my fitness could use a little more variety.
Enter- Challenge Du Jour.
There's a different workout everyday, ... different trainer everyday, ... different STYLE of workout everyday.
Still following a SYSTEM so you work different parts of your body and mix in the strength training, cardio, HIIT workouts, yoga, martial arts, and endurance training, etc- everything combined together in a systematic way.
BUT- done with some variety.
And I'm purposefully NOT going to be seeking out the schedule ahead of time.
I gotta tell you - this morning there was a feeling of Christmas excitement waking up - "I wonder what the workout today will be?" I signed up for a text message each morning to tell me what my workout will be for the day! Then I simply log into my Beachbody On Demand app and go. I'm working out thru online streaming on my laptop so I can workout anywhere!
Today the Challenge Du Jour workout was turbofire sculpt 30. A program I have never tried, with trainer Chalene Johnson who I love.
30 minutes of total body resistance training using a resistance band.
It was awesome.
And tomorrow's workout will be?
I don't know!
And I kind of like it that way. Lol.
