WEIGHTED CALISTHENICS Still having problem posting videos to instagram so today i thought i'll post one of my workout equipment essentials 😁 I have a home-made DIY dipping belt made from unused water hose & a long chain with a hook clip attached to it that weighs 1.5kg in total and 3 weight plates that weighs 10kg, 5kg, and 2.5kg each 😁 So for yesterday's training i decided to do a dropset of pull ups starting with 7.5kg and drop it down all the way to band assisted with only 30secs of rest time in between each set, repping till failure in each set 🙏 did the same sequence for today's workout except i did dips. I wouldn't call it a workout but it's a good thing to test your strength once in a while 💪 current bodyweight is 55kg, my best efforts are Pull ups : 4 x + 7.5 kg pulls 4 x + 5 kg pulls 4 x + 2.5 kg pulls 5 x BW 6 x band assisted ( thin band ) Dips : 8 x + 7.5 kg dips 6 x + 5 kg dips 6 x + 2.5 kg dips 5 x BW dips 10 x band assisted ( thin band ) Could say i'm quite satisfied with the strength i've gotten from 8 months of calisthenics training, i remember when i first started i couldn't do a single proper pull up and could only do a few proper dips. I admit i didn't really go all out in all of those 8 months time, some weeks i train hard af, some weeks/probably months i got so reluctant to train and just feels heavy & lazy af 😐 that's the reason why my physique & strength goes up and down , sometimes i progress⏫but there are times when i also regress⏬I do feel guilty when i think about what i could have achieved if i train properly everyday for these past 8 months , the progress could have been amazing 😁 but nevertheless i'm still gonna chase that fit lifestyle whatever happens, it would be a never-ending journey. If you're not starting from a lock out and reaching at least the 90 degree angle, it doesn't count. Take your time and focus on quality, not trying to impress people who don't know better. Sustaining injuries from performing dips alone are likely when executed incorrectly and when you add weight to the mix. Yeah you get it! ➖➖ Train smart and hard!.
