We all lead busy lives, and it's easy to get caught up and neglect probably one of the most important things you need to do as an adult ... feeding yourself. As a wise person once said we spend all this time trying to improve ourselves professionally, physically through sport and exercise, and socially, yet we then turn around and literally stuff our face with processed crap that does little for us.... and in fact does damage to us. *
Moving to a vegan lifestyle is about - at least for me - considering the choices you make on a daily basis. I read a study just tonight that the average human makes 35,000 remotely conscious decisions per day, and of that amount, 266 of them are alone on food. Wait a minute : we only eat like 3-5 meals per day so what are we deciding on??
The same study talks about how your choices compound. Boy is this true. Make a bad decision about one thing, and you sub-consciously convince yourself that the next bad decision is seemingly ok now. The worst part, is you actually condition yourself to this response. *
Break out of that rut; go for a run; eat a salad; don't open that bottle of wine or beer; and put down the cupcake!!! You are the sum of your decisions and actions, so get out there and take charge..
