Well, this month didn't turn out quite like I had hoped for training runs. I ended up with 12 days of total rest from running throughout the month as I tried to get a handle on my glute injury. I am surprised that I was able to get 100 miles in, and I'm grateful for those. Every mile earned, never given. I was able to bike 42 miles this month too for a little added cross training, and I always enjoy being on the bike, especially if it's outside.
With just 48 days left until Boston, I'll be continuing to take my training one day at a time, one run, one mile at a time. I've got an integral network of support that has gotten me this far, and they'll help see me through the rest of this training, too.
When I found out that my acceptance for Boston had been confirmed, I told my cross country runners that there were at least 1,000 more miles to run before the day of that race. It's been a roller coaster of 800+ so far. But you know what? I'm still continuing to love the journey, and love the run. It's part of who I am..
