On this page I talk a lot about training and nutrition but do not discuss rest and recovery anywhere near as much as I should. During recovery, our body is able to utilise vital nutrients, chemicals and hormones in order to: • remove toxins • take care of our blood profile • to support the function of our organs/begin the tissue healing process • And of course- to support the growth and repair of our muscle fibres If you don't allow yourself to rest when you need it, the internal, vital functions of your body and it's systems could be negatively impacted.
