Pretty much my answer will always be the same. There is no substitute for training hard and proper nutrition 💯 Too many people looking for shortcuts or the easy option. Just put in the damn WORK! 💪🏼.

Not the regular #transformation pic I guess but one that I think is important to document nonetheless. I'm hesitant to call it my 'comp prep' vs 'off-season' because my level of training deserves a more respectful term. Ain't nothin off-season about how I've been training (except the last few non-existent days of sickness of course). Rather I think of this as just two different, yet equally important stages, in my continuous fitness journey. The left pic represents discipline, focus, determination and sacrifice. The right pic is elements of all of that too but with some flexibility, and new found strength gains.
The things I have learnt during each of these phases- about my body, about me as a person, and about creating the ultimate lifestyle for me- has been invaluable. I relate it to when I went back to do my postgrad degree for nursing and started to wonder how I hadn't killed anyone before 😂
Also, just as a little side note... I distinctly remember the day the left pic was taken. I felt so disappointed with how I looked, it actually got me pretty down. Now I look at it and I'm thinking holy helllll I was freaking #shredded. Lucky I didn't break in half 😂
I also know that next time the shreds come around I will be BIGGER 👍🏼 #live#love#learn .

I absolutely destroyed myself in the gym today. I knew what I was in for too which is sometimes so much harder. I was definitely adequately fuelled and hydrated (my snap can attest to that 😂 #thegirlcaneat ) but without a doubt the single most important factor that gets me through those seemingly impossible sessions is mental toughness. Your body can always go further than your mind. Our brain wimps out, thinks it's all too hard, try's to convince us to stop.
I am not doing all this to wimp out now. I am in this for the long haul. One hard session won't break me.... on the contrary, they are the sessions I love ❤️. I walked out exhausted, I've been grumpy AF most of the day and I will probably be in bed pretty soon BUT every single inch of my being knows that it was 💯 worth it #ComeAtMeDoms#WhoWouldntWantToTrainWithMe 😂.
#legit. And where the bar staff bring you peanut butter 😍.
